Balancing Dietary Omega-6 Fat
Why Dietary Omega-6 Fat Matters
Just like a car needs the balance of both the gas and brake pedals
to effectively (and safely) navigate traffic, our bodies need a
balance of omega-6 and omega-3 fats. When there are too many omega-6
fats in our diet it’s sets our body’s on the road to many diseases.
Excess omega-6 fats interfere with the health benefits of omega-3 fats
because they compete with each other in the body. Eating too much of
omega-6 fat is associated with inflammation, heart attacks, stroke,
arrhythmia, arthritis, osteoporosis, mood disorders and cancer.
